Engr. Kombat Condoles with Tijjaniyya Community On Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi's Passing

Engr. Aliyu Mohammed (Kombat), the Chairman/Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Velocity Group LTD,  has extended his heartfelt condolences to the entire Tijjaniyya Community of Nigeria and the world at large on the painful passing of the renowned Islamic scholar, Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi, who died in the early hours of Thursday at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital (ATBU–TH), Bauchi.

In a condolence messages by Safiyanu Ya'u, Secretary of Velocity Humanitarian Foundation (a charity and philanthropic Organization founded by Engr. Kombat), Engr. Kombat mourned  the passing of the reverenced Islamic scholar, he described the deceased  as a truely devoted preacher of note, who dedicated his entire lifetime propagating the messages of Islam and making huge contributions to spiritual elevation of the Muslim umma throughout the world.

"On behalf of the Velocity Humanitarian Foundation, I extend our deepest condolences to the entire Tijjaniya family, followers, and the global Muslim Ummah over the passing of our revered spiritual leader, Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi"

"His departure is not only a painful loss to his family and disciples, but also to the entire nation and the world at large. Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi was a fountain of knowledge, piety, humility, and unwavering commitment to the propagation of Islam. His life of service, guidance, and spiritual leadership has left an indelible mark on millions of souls"

"We pray that the Almighty Allah forgive his shortcomings, illuminate his grave, and grant him Aljannatul Firdausi. May Allah also strengthen the hearts of his family, followers, and admirers, granting them the patience and fortitude to bear this immense loss"

"May his legacy of peace, knowledge, and devotion continue to inspire generations to come"

 The late cleric has since been burried in accordance with the Islamic rites, his funeral prayer was attending by the vice president of Nigeria His Excellency, Kashim Shettima, state governors, ministers, members of National Assembly, several Islamic clerics and religious leaders within the country and beyond.

Man Seeks Urgent Public Humanitarian Support for Vulnerable Albino Woman

A middle aged gentleman identified as Isah Suleiman, has appealed to individuals and organisations in the wider society to urgently provide philanthropic support and assistance  to a  vulnerable woman who is battling with the chronic condition of albinism.

The 20 year old woman, identified as lady Hadiza Aboki Amidu by name from Atanegoma area of Anyigba, in Dekina Local Government Area of kogi state, has endured a lot of challenges and lingering hardships as a woman with disability and a divorcee who was forced to singlehandedly shoulders the responsibility of raising her two children (a boy and a girl) after her husband had divorced her and abondoned her with the daily custody of the children.

Suleiman, who showed great concern and heartfelt sympathy for the albino woman in a post on Facebook disclosed how he felt pained and worried the monent he saw  Amidu under the surching sun labouring to get something to put food to the table for her teenage children. Seeing an albino woman with bruises and wounds on her neck and face disturbed him the most.

"Her issues,  Suleiman said,  attracted my attention when yesterday, from morning till after 5pm, she was braking firewood in front of my house to a food vendor"

"When I was returning from Asr (evening prayers )I saw her battling with the bruises and wounds on her face and neck from the sunlight. I sat on my veranda wrapped with pain watching her returning back to the woods"

Suleiman added, "she left after she had exhausted her energy. I can only wish her well" 

 When Suleiman could no longer contain himself for the sympathy he had for the vulnerable lady, he waited for her the next day until she  returned to fetch the remaining firewood to the food vendor she served - he approached her and engaged her into fact-finding conversation  where she revealed to him a shocking narrative of her life struggles. 

Amidu, gave a damned account of how her former husband abondoned her with the daily upkeep of their two children which she find it very challenging and life threatening. Through the bruises and wounds on her skin, she has to do hard menial jobs like faring palm kennels from the farm for palm oil producers, braking and fetching firewood for the food vendors and any other menial job to survive and cater for her children. 

Asked what her parents are doing for her and children, Amidu said her father was gone and her mother couldn't do anything to support her materially and financially.

" My Dad is late and my Mum cannot do anything...I can do any available for my children not to go hungry and to go school" she said

The present day whether Conditions post a great threat to Albinos. Those with milk of human kindness should see this as an opportunity to invest in Amidu and her two children for heavenly sake" 

However, this notice should  be a clarion calls to the Nigerian Albino Society to come to the aid of this young woman, before her situation goes from bad to worst"

Day Adamawa Deaf Community Heaped Praises on Gov. Fintiri's Disability Friendly Policies, Presents Excellent Leadership Award

Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Umar Fintiri, has received an Outstanding Distinguished Merit Award (Best Disability Friendly Governor Award) from the leadership of Adamawa State Association of the Deaf (ASAD) in recognition of his starling performance in office as - the best Governor in the history of Adamawa State who prioritize the full inclusion of Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) in governmental policies and programmes. 

Governor Fintiri was honoured during the formal opening ceremony of the just concluded 5th ASAD Annual General Meeting/Second North East Association of the Deaf (NEAD) Summit which held at Women Development Centre, Jimeta, Yola on October 16th,2025 .

According to the organisers of the event, the Governor is recognised for demonstrating an exceptional commitment to the growth of persons with disabilities in Adamawa State and beyond, particularly the Deaf Community who made up a long large chunk of entire population of PWDs in the state.

Presenting the award to the governor on behalf of the entire members of Adamawa State Deaf Community, the NEAD President, Comr. Bashiru Usman Kellumi, said the entire members of  Deaf Community of Adamawa State extraction in particular, and their counterparts from the North East zone, recognises Gov. Fintiri's  efforts in championing inclusion for PWDs in the state and his gigantic commitment to revitalising the   infrastructural development of the state which transformed in no small measure, the economic fortune of the state.

Speaking earlier, the Chairman of Adamawa State Association of the Deaf (ASAD), Mr. Colman Christopher described the Governor as a jovial friend of the Deaf, stressing that the award given to the Governor is long over due, considering the countless inclusive policies and programmes initiated by the current administration under the impressive guidance of Gov. Fintiri that have direct bearing on the lives of PWDs of Adamawa State.

The ASAD leader recalled how members of Deaf Community benefited from many Inclusive policies and programmes of the state government which according to him include the  allocation of Fintiri Business Wallet, an upshoot of the Poverty Alleviation and Wealth Creation Agency (PAWECA), which hundreds of Deaf individuals received the sum of  50, 000 each to boost their local businesses, skills acquisition training in areas such  as tailoring,  phone repair, welding, catering, etc, cunducted hroughout the 10 paweca technical training centres across the 3 senatorial  zones of the state, undiscrimated proviaion of palliatives, foodstuffs to eradicate hunger within the PWDs community, provision of scholarship in which the Deaf students  are among the beneficiaries both within and outside the state, Provision of students food and transportation, reimbursement in both special schools at Jada and Mubi respectively among other important PWDs focused projects.

While commending the Governor for his Inclusive gesture towards the Deaf population, the ASAD leader however appealed to the Governor to consider the signing and eventual domestication of disability bill into law so as to give fuller  sense of belonging to the community of PWDs in the state. He also pleased with  the governor to reserve at least 5% slots in the ongoing statewide recruitment exercise. 

Throwing his support to the Governor's Inclusive leadership,  a well respected Deaf elder and  chieftain of All Progressive Congress (APC) among PWDs in Adamawa State, Mal. Mohammed Abubukar Sadiq (a.k.a Baba Mubi) took to his social media handle (Facebook) to sell the governor Fintiri to the Nigerians.

He wrote: "honestly, I have no issue with my governor, His Excellency Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri becoming the president of Nigeria"

"People  with disabilities, (PWDs)have gotten a fair share of democracy dividend under the mantra of his administration that nobody should be left alone"

" From employing graduate Deaf in the state civil service, recruiting qualified Deaf into teaching under the post primary schools management board to empowerment of various kinds like the paweca, petrol powered motorcycles for physically challenged people, food items, support for various functions etc"

"In small time, the state Disabilities Right Commission would be established"

"Aside from Baba Mai Albarka, Nyako who initiate the rehabilitation of people living with disabilities, PWDs no one can match governor fintiri in taking care of disabled groups in Adamawa state"

In his remarks, the governor, represented by the Special Adviser on Chieftaincy Affairs, lauded ASAD leaders  for the recognition accorded to him, assuring them on his continued support and commitment to infrastructural growth and development of the state.

HARDSHIPS: Philanthropist Dabuwa Empowers 505 Vulnerable Women and Youths in Yobe State

In a sustained effort to cushion the harzadeous effect of the current economic meltdown rocking the country, which caused a lot of unbearable decline in economic activities  and brought untold hardships to the citizens of the country - specifically those living in  the north east geopolitical zone, a  zone raveged by the neferious activities of Boko Haram insurgents and other criminals. Philantrophist Alhaji Liman Machina Dabuwa, the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer,  Damuli Investment Company, has Penultimate Sunday empowers a total of 505 vulnerable women and youths across the 17 Local Government Areas (LGAs) that make up the Yobe State with start-up capital and entrepreneurial tools to alleviate the lingering sufferings of the beneficiaries by  availing  them with the right tools to engage into productive livelihood for achieving sustainable self-reliance through financial independence. 

The commendable initiative, Ability News Network gethered is borne out of the philanthropist uncommon passion towards empowering lives and supporting small-scale business entreprises development among vulnerable women and youth in Yobe State. 

The empowerment items distributed by the kind-hearted philantrophist comprises assorted sewing machines,  vulcanizing machines, and start-up capital which gulped over fifty million naira (50,000,000) 

Presenting the empowerment items on behalf of philanthropist, Alhaji Abubakar Bakabe, the current All Progressive Congress (APC) Secretary, Yobe State Chapter commended Alh. Dabuwa for his untiring support to the Governor Mai Mala Buni's administration, stressing that the objective of the humanitarian gesture aligns well with the state government human capital development project.  

"The aim of the initiative is to boost the daily entreprenuerial activities of the beneficiaries and help them achieve financial stability" he said. 

The initiative which was officially launched during a flag-off ceremony in Machina Local Government Area of Yobe State by Damuli Investment Company Limited as a  demonstration of the company's  commitment to the development of Machina Local Government Area and Yobe State as a whole.

As a means of appreciating the magnificent contributions of various Ulamas and Imams in Machina LGA, all Imams of Jumua'h mosques in Machina LGA were rewarded with special empowerment support to acknowledge their collective and individual contributions to the development of the society.

 The event was attended by the Alh. Abubakar Bakabe, the Yobe State APC Secretary who accompanied by state party executives, the Machina Local Government Vice Chairman, and the LGA APC Party Chairman, among other dignitaries who thronged the venue of the event from far and near to witness the flag-off ceremony of the empowerment project, Ability News Network reports.
