A middle aged gentleman identified as Isah Suleiman, has appealed to individuals and organisations in the wider society to urgently provide philanthropic support and assistance to a vulnerable woman who is battling with the chronic condition of albinism.
The 20 year old woman, identified as lady Hadiza Aboki Amidu by name from Atanegoma area of Anyigba, in Dekina Local Government Area of kogi state, has endured a lot of challenges and lingering hardships as a woman with disability and a divorcee who was forced to singlehandedly shoulders the responsibility of raising her two children (a boy and a girl) after her husband had divorced her and abondoned her with the daily custody of the children.
Suleiman, who showed great concern and heartfelt sympathy for the albino woman in a post on Facebook disclosed how he felt pained and worried the monent he saw Amidu under the surching sun labouring to get something to put food to the table for her teenage children. Seeing an albino woman with bruises and wounds on her neck and face disturbed him the most.
"Her issues, Suleiman said, attracted my attention when yesterday, from morning till after 5pm, she was braking firewood in front of my house to a food vendor"
"When I was returning from Asr (evening prayers )I saw her battling with the bruises and wounds on her face and neck from the sunlight. I sat on my veranda wrapped with pain watching her returning back to the woods"
Suleiman added, "she left after she had exhausted her energy. I can only wish her well"
When Suleiman could no longer contain himself for the sympathy he had for the vulnerable lady, he waited for her the next day until she returned to fetch the remaining firewood to the food vendor she served - he approached her and engaged her into fact-finding conversation where she revealed to him a shocking narrative of her life struggles.

Through the bruises and wounds on her skin, she has to do hard menial jobs like faring palm kennels from the farm for palm oil producers, braking and fetching firewood for the food vendors and any other menial job to survive and cater for her children.
Asked what her parents are doing for her and children, Amidu said her father was gone and her mother couldn't do anything to support her materially and financially.
" My Dad is late and my Mum cannot do anything...I can do any available for my children not to go hungry and to go school" she said
