Your Patience Turned Challenge into Possibility” – Hon. Farouk Yarima"

Speaking at the Pantami Township Stadium, Supporters Club President Hon. Farouk Yarma, former State Commissioner of Youths and Sports, expressed deep appreciation to the thousands of fans who stood by the club through tough seasons.

“We thank you for your patience and your trust in the ability of this club to turn challenge into possibility,” Hon. Yarima said. “This title is not just for the players on the pitch. It belongs to every fan who believed when belief was hard.”

He appealed for continued support as Arsenal looks to build on the success: “This is the beginning of a new era. I urge all Gunners to sustain the same energy, loyalty, and unity in the coming season so the club can achieve even greater success.”

“We appreciate Hon. Yarima for the inclusion of PWD supporters in this parade,” Comrade Ibrahim stated. “He has been a champion of inclusivity since his spell as Commissioner for Sports, and today he proved it again by making sure no fan was left behind.”

He added that the visibility of PWD fans during the rally sends a strong message that football and fandom belong to everyone, regardless of ability.

Event Highlights

The celebration kicked off with a solidarity rally from the New Government House Roundabout, snaking through major streets before converging at Pantami Township Stadium. Fans carried banners, club flags, and a replica of the Premier League trophy amid drumming and chants of “We Go Again.”

A quiz competition tested fans’ knowledge of Arsenal’s history, with questions drawn from the club’s antecedents dating back to its 1886 founding as Dial Square. Winners of the quiz received awards and club merchandise during the ceremony.

A keynote presentation highlighted Arsenal’s journey from Woolwich to Premier League champions, while musical performances kept the crowd energized until late evening.

The parade has been hailed as one of the biggest fan celebrations in Gombe in recent years, uniting supporters of all ages and backgrounds under the Arsenal banner.
