The persistent calls by millions of Nigerians especially among Persons with disabilities to president Bola Ahmed Tinubu to fill the voccum created by the suspension of the former minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Betta Edu has been on the alarming increase week-in week-out.
The calls Ability News reports is is in line with the yearning aspiration of million of Nigerians to see to the continuation of the federal government social programmes through the ministry's National Social Investment programmes that has been halted by the minister's suspension.
Persons with disabilities has been at the fore front of these persistent agitations to lobby the president to appoint a dedicated humanitarian Nigerian to fill the voccum in the humanitarian ministry since the beginning of the suspension.
One of the vibrant voices among the PWDs community joining the calls for Mr.President to fastract the appointment of the humanitarian Minister on daily basis, is Comrade Musa Inuwa, the Disabled Leader for the APC National Youth Ambassadors who recently requested the president to hasten the appointment of the minister in response to the demands of Nigerians.
Speaking to media personnels Comr. Inuwa said "we respectfully request the attention of the President and other top political leaders to consider our recommendation"
"We strongly advocate for the appointment of Dr. Halimat Adenike Tejuosho as the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation"
He added "millions of persons with disabilities across Nigeria support this recommendation"
According to him "Dr. Tejuosho's exceptional communication skills and commitment to the welfare of persons with disabilities distinguish her as a remarkable leader capable of handling the huge responsibilities associated with the office of a federal minister"
"Despite not holding a gubernatorial or senatorial position, she has made substantial contributions from her personal resources, demonstrating a level of dedication that surpasses many in leadership roles"
"We firmly believe that Dr. Halimat Adenike Tejuosho is the ideal candidate for this position. Her unwavering support and selfless service to the less privileged are unparalleled. We are confident that, if appointed, she will excel in addressing the needs of persons with disabilities and advancing humanitarian efforts"
