As a measure of rapid emergency humanitarian response earmarked towards cushioning the terrible sufferings faced inadvertently by hundreds thousands of victims of recent disasterous flood in Borno state who have been trapped hopelessly and rendered immobile and homeless by the ravaging flooding disaster befalling the Maiduguri residents that destroyed scores of lives and properties worth several billions in Maiduguri, Borno state capital recently.
A quick humanitarian response to provide secure to the victims has being championed by Dr. Halimat Adenike Tejousho in through her foundation known as Queen Halimat Adenike Foundation (QAT) in collaboration with the Borno state Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development.

It was gathered that an undisclosed quantities of relief materials ranging from assorted food items, medicines, utility materials like mattresses, mosquito nets, detergents etc in large quantity were distributed to the flood victims to ease their sufferings.
Recall that the kindhearted humanitarian mother had only recently donated the sum N20,000 each to 100 persons with disabilities followed by the distribution of 500 bags of rice, cartoons of indomie to disabled community in Abuja and capped it up with the awards of scholarships to 100 out-of- school children of persons with disabilities across different states in the country, Ability News Network reports
