The joys of entire members of Adamawa state disability community knows no boundary this week as Hon. Umar Aminv Tukur bags outstanding meritorious award from the His Excellency Rt. Hon. Ahmed Umar Fintiri, the Executive Governor of Adamawa state.
The former Special Adviser on Disability Affairs to the former Governor of Adamawa state, His Excellency Gov. Murtala Nyanko, Hon. Umar Tukur was admired by many across the wide and breadth of Adamawa state, the North East geopolitical zone and indeed the country at large for his symbolic simplicity, cool-headedness and his philanthropist gestures to the vulnerable ones, especially to members of PWDs community in Nigeria.
Tukur's outstanding Contributions to the development of his fellow PWDs across all board could not be quantified.He was seeing by many as a role model to emulate due to his simple personality, a thing that earned him huge respect and accolades within and outside the country.
ANN reports that the outstanding meritorious award presented to him by Adamawa state Governor, His Excellency Rt. Hon. Umaru Ahmadu Fintiri through the Deputy Governor, Her Exvellency Past. Kaletapwa Farauta, was a testament to his meritorious services to humanity.
While celebrating this outstanding accomplishment achieved by the former SSA, the Secretary General of the Join National Association of Persons with disabilities (JONAPWD) Adamawa state chapter, Mal. Musa Saleh took to his social media handle (Facebook) to post a rejoicng congratulatory messages to the former SSA.
Saleh wrote; "a meritorious award was given to our friend Dr. Umaru Aminu Tukur by His Excellency Rt Umaru Ahmadu Fintiri, the executive governor of Adamawa state"

Congratulations on receiving the esteemed award for your remarkable contributions to upholding and promoting the government's policies and programs under Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri 's leadership.
Earlier, the Adamawa State Association of the Deaf (ASAD) Youth Leader, Masaud Mohammed in a congratulatory message to Hon.Tukur described the award as one which can make significant impact on the lives of many.
He said, "your achievements have made a significant difference in the lives of many, and your legacy will continue to inspire others"
"Please accept my heartfelt congratulations on this well-deserved honor. May this award inspire you to continue your outstanding work, and may your accomplishments continue to receive the recognition they deserve" the ASAD Youth Leader noted.
On his part, the Nigerian National Association of the Deaf( NNAD) North East Zonal Coordinator Mal. Bashir Usman Kellumi who could not hide his admiration for the unprecedented success achieved by Hon. Umar Aminu Tukur who is also the Zonal Board of Trustee (BoT) of the North East Zone representing the zone in the NNAD headquarters, described the award as well deserved
Kellumi noted, "the award is well deserved by hon Umar tukur, given his commitment in supporting Deaf people in various life endeavours from Deaf sports, education, scholarship, to mentoring, advocacy for Deaf rights, political participation and more"
He added, "It's our earnest hope that the meritorious award given to him by the His Excellence will boost his morale to do more than ever in his commitment to uplift the Deaf people in Adamawa state and beyond"
The award has sparked wide jubilations among the PWDs community of Adamawa state who thronged from far and near to cheers him.
