Anambra JONAPWD Chapter Extols Gov.Soludo for Employing Over 40 Special Teachers

 

His Excellency, Professor Charless Chukwuma Soludo, Executive Governor of Anambra State

The leadership of Joint National Association of Persons with Disabilities (JONAPWD) Anambra state chapter has extoled the Governor of Anambra state His Excellency, Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo for employing some of JONAPWD members to join the civil service of the state as classroom teachers. 

In an official  statement signed by the chairman and Secretary of the group, Comr. Ugochukwu Ernest.C Okeke and Comr. Chinenye Ikele respectively and made a copy  available to ANN, the JONAPWD leaders described the Governor's action as exceptional and  commendable example for the entire nation to emulate.

The statement reads partly:

"We, the Joint National Association of Persons  with Disabilities (JONAPWD) Anambra state chapter write to express our sincere appreciation and gratitude for your recent continued employment of teachers with disabilities within our state's educational system. Your decision to prioritize inclusivity and diversity in the teaching profession sets a commendable example for the entire nation"

"The employment of over 40 qualified teachers with disabilities does not only promotes diversity but also enriches the educational experience for all students. These teachers will bring unique perspectives, skills, and experiences to the classroom, creating a more dynamic and nurturing learning environment"

Adding that "their presence in different schools will not only benefit students with disabilities by providing role models and advocates, but also educate all students and other teachers without disabilities about acceptance, empathy, and respect for differences" 

"It will also build a more compassionate and understanding society. This initiative will definitely break down barriers and foster a culture of acceptance. Indeed, you are setting a powerful example of social progress and equality for others from different sectors to emulate"

"We want to express our heartfelt appreciation for that show of love and commitment towards implementation of Anambra State Disability Rights Law 2018"

The JONAPWD leaders further appealed to the Gov.not to relent in sustaining the tempo of his PWDs-centred administration efforts which placed the  PWDs community of Anambra state as the center of its focus,  noting that such initiatives is timely and will continue to impact positively on the life of persons with disabilities in the state.

The statement noted, "we are confident that this noble initiative of yours will reflect in other appointments of your administration going forward so that this noble initiative will have a more lasting and positive impact on our community"

"Thank you once again for your progressive and inclusive approach in the education and health sectors of the state"

"Our prayers is that God, in His infinite mercy, will preserve you and grant you more grace to continue with your good work in the state. Be assured of our continued prayers and support to your future ambition"
