Elder John Onyemachi Eguzouwa: An Quintessential Philantropist Sent by God to Alleviate the Sufferings of PWDs ~ Joma Foundation PA (Sochi Madu)

The newly appointed Personal Assistant (PA) to Joma Foundation, Hon. Sochi Madu, has described the CEO/Founder of Joma Foundation Mr.John Onyemachi Eguzouwa as an quintessential Philantropist who was sent by the Almighty God to alleviate the sufferings of those below him especially persons with disabilities in the country.

Madu, who doubled as the chairman of Imo State Association of the Deaf (IMSAD) disclosed this to Ability News Network shortly after he was announced as the PA to Joma Foundation by Elder John Onyemachi Eguzouwa.

Madu noted "Oga John has deep empathy and compassion for the poor, vulnerable and disadvantaged disabled people who are almost losing Hope"

He told himself "I have everything that God provided for me and my family, why should I not help those who has nothing"

 "That is how Joma Foundation came into existence" he recalls

Asked to describe how he felt when the news of his appointment as PA to the foundation was made public, the IMSAD chairman said he was all over the mood when Uncle John singled him for such role amidst many good hands to pick. 

His words "  I was thrilled when Oga John said he needed someone like me he could confide in to be his PA who can assist him in his charity work. I accepted his offer in good faith"

"My expectation from this  new appointment is to serve humanity in line with the directives of the Joma Foundation. My role is to share common values and goals with that foundation by updating the charity activities for less privileged disabled individual and assist where necessary"

"I will come up with shared philosophy to impact lives of the less privileged disabled individuals under Joma foundation is to advocate not to give fish to be fed but to teach them how to catch fish to make ends meet"

"Because if you give someone bread or money who is hungry, such person will still ask for more. It is better to provide them empowerment with which one can use for survival in a long run term" Madu added. 

The brand new PA also expressed disatisfaction with the way some people are thinking negative about the philanthropic gestures of his principal, emphasizing that his principal has been putting smile on the faces of those in need of his philanthropic gesture since when he was a nobody. 

He urgued, " Some people think different thing about Oga John's way of his philanthropic activity  because he married his rich white woman from America.

It is not sure. You know people can talk anyhow they like about certain people. 

He has been doing for the deaf community since when he was a civil servant even till he retired. 

I have gone underground studying some esteemed individuals, but oga john is one of the best because he could use his salary/pension to assist those in needs. Now he is married to his wonderful heartthrob and the love of his life, he still does the same.
