The renowned philanthropist and seasoned humanitarian, Engr. Aliyu Mohammed (Kombat) has expressed his deepest sympathy to the 78 female students of Gombe State University who were recently affected by the unfortunate fire incident that resulted in the loss of personal belongings and disruption of academic activities in the institution.
This was contained in an official press release signed and circulated by an aide to the philanthropist identified as Safiyanu Ya'u on Tuesday
Announcing the philanthropist kind-hearted gesture towards the affected female students, Ya'u, who acted as the Secretary General of Engr. Kombat foundation known as "Velocity Humanitarian Foundation (VHF)" emphasized the VHF's continued commitment towards alleviating the sufferings of every community affected by calamity in Gombe State.
He noted, "In line with our commitment to supporting communities in times of need, the Foundation is currently in active discussions with the university management to facilitate timely assistance to the affected students"

"As part of our support intervention, the Foundation will be donating the sum of ₦100,000 (One Hundred Thousand Naira) to each of the 78 affected students to help them recover from the losses incurred"
He added, "to ensure a smooth and transparent process, forms will be made available to all affected students through the Students Affairs Division of the University. Students are encouraged to liaise with the division for further instructions on how to access the support"
"We commend the management of Gombe State University for their cooperation and swift response, and we remain committed to partnering with institutions and communities in promoting resilience and humanitarian relief" he concluded.
Earlier, the foundation had only recently spent over 400 million naira in paying school registration fees for the countless number of vulnerable indigenous students of Gombe State University, a thing that ranked the foundation first in supporting educational development in Gombe State, Ability News Network reports.
